New Hampshire Aquarium Society Annual
Awards The
NHAS holds a variety of competitions and programs throughout the year and at
the end of the year we celebrate our achievements at the Annual Banquet held
every January. The
Aquarist of the Year is determined by the total number of points awarded to
members based on attendance, participation in Bowl and Photo Shows, and
contributions to the monthly auction. The
President's Award is given by the President to the person who has best served
the club in numerous ways throughout the year. The
Breeder's Award Program (BAP) recognizes efforts by our members to breed new
species. The sale of the fry within the club is an important aspect of the
program. The
Horticultural Award Program (HAP) recognizes efforts in aquatic plant
propagation. It runs in a manner similar to the BAP. The
club holds a Bowl Show at every monthly meeting. Points are awarded and
prizes are given at the end of the year. In addition, the Best-of-the-Best
competition is held every June to select the winner from all first-place
finishers throughout the previous 12 months. The
club also holds a Photo Show at every monthly meeting. Awards are similar to
